Duties
- Respond promptly to emergency calls involving water damage, flooding, or mold growth, demonstrating preparedness and quick action.
- Perform mold remediation procedures using specialized equipment and techniques to eliminate mold colonies safely and effectively.
- Utilize hand tools, power tools, and construction experience to remove contaminated materials such as drywall, flooring, and insulation.
- Conduct thorough cleaning of affected areas, adhering to IICRC industry standards.
- Implement respiratory protection protocols and follow safety guidelines during all remediation activities to ensure personal and client safety.
- Document work progress accurately and maintain detailed records of remediation processes.
Qualifications
- Prior experience in the restoration industry, particularly in mold remediation or water damage restoration, is highly preferred.
- Knowledge of emergency response readiness procedures and safety protocols related to environmental hazards like asbestos abatement.
- Familiarity with Xactimate or similar estimating software for project documentation and invoicing.
- Ability to operate hand tools, power tools, and other construction-related equipment efficiently.
- Strong understanding of respiratory protection requirements and safety standards within the restoration industry.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to follow detailed instructions and work collaboratively within a team.
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record is often required for site access and transportation.
