Job Overview
We are seeking an energetic and dedicated Server to join our vibrant hospitality team! As a key member of our restaurant, you will deliver exceptional guest experiences by providing attentive service, expert beverage and food recommendations, and ensuring every guest feels welcomed and valued. Duties
- Greet guests warmly and guide them to their tables with a friendly demeanor
- Take accurate food and beverage orders using POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS
- Serve food and drinks promptly while maintaining high standards of presentation and safety
- Upsell menu items including wines, spirits, cocktails, and specialty dishes to enhance guest satisfaction and increase sales
- Process cash, credit card, and digital transactions efficiently and accurately
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation standards in all service areas following food safety guidelines
- Assist with food preparation, bussing tables, and supporting kitchen staff as needed to ensure smooth operations
- Use reservation management tools like OpenTable to coordinate seating and manage guest flow
- Provide knowledgeable wine service and spirits experience to elevate the dining experience for guests
- Engage with guests to foster positive relationships, handle special requests, and resolve any concerns promptly
Qualifications
- Previous experience in food service or restaurant environments, especially fine dining or hospitality settings
- Proficiency with POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS; experience with OpenTable is a plus
- Strong knowledge of beverage service including cocktails, spirits, wine, and drink pairing techniques
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to engage guests warmly and professionally
- Effective time management skills to handle multiple tables efficiently during busy hours
- Basic math skills for processing transactions accurately and managing bills
- Culinary experience or food industry background is highly desirable
- Knowledge of food safety standards and sanitation practices in the restaurant industry
- Ability to work flexible hours including evenings, weekends, and holidays
- Team-oriented attitude with strong communication skills to collaborate seamlessly with colleagues
