Farbest Foods is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Payroll & Accounting Specialist to join our team. This full-time position is responsible for managing payroll processes with accuracy and confidentiality while supporting key accounting operations within the organization. This role is full time at the Farbest Foods corporate office location in Jasper.
The ideal candidate will possess strong payroll expertise, accounting knowledge, and the ability to work efficiently in a professional, team-oriented environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Process multi-employee payroll accurately and on schedule
- Maintain payroll records and ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations
- Prepare payroll reports, reconciliations, and related documentation
- Assist with accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger activities and reporting
- Coordinate with HR regarding employee changes, benefits, and payroll adjustments
- Respond professionally to payroll and accounting inquiries
- Maintain strict confidentiality of employee and financial information
- Assist with internal and external audits
Qualifications
- Minimum 2+ years of payroll and accounting experience preferred
- Basic understanding of payroll processing and payroll tax compliance
- Associate or Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or related field preferred
- Experience with payroll and accounting software systems
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office applications
- Excellent organizational, analytical, and communication skills
- Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines with a high degree of accuracy
