Powder Detergent Batch Mixing /Forklift Operator
Stearns Packaging Corporation has an opening for a Powder Batch Mixer and Forklift Operator in Madison, Wisconsin. This is a direct-hire, full-time position with full benefits. Operator must be a calm, focused and mature individual. Candidate must be able to learn quickly and pay attention to detail and productivity. Good math skills are required. Mechanical understanding is helpful. Ability to drive a forklift is required. Primary responsibility is do daily batch mixes and learn the production flow and scheduling.
Position Summary: The Powders Mixer / Forklift Operator is responsible for taking the instruction and direction of the Powders Supervisor in preparing batches of powdered cleaning products in batches of 2,000 to 6,000 lbs. Finished batches are then packaged in barrels or pails with mechanical equipment. A few products are packaged in cartons or jars as small as 2 lbs. again with mechanical equipment.
Duties & Responsibilities: Be part of a small, select team. Candidate must be willing to climb a steps in an industrial area. Must be willing to use their hands to lift bags weighing 50 lbs. Be alert at all times to insure the quality of the production run. Candidate must be willing to stand for long periods of time
