Parmer Metered Concrete is seeking a reliable, detail-oriented Administrative Assistant to join our growing team. This position plays a key role in keeping our daily operations running smoothly while supporting both our customers and field operations.
We operate in a fast-paced, hands-on environment, so we’re looking for someone confident, professional, and comfortable communicating with both office staff, operators in the field and customers.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage Accounts Receivable, including invoicing customers, sending monthly statements, and communicating with overdue accounts
- Handle Accounts Payable, including entering bills and maintaining accurate records
- Provide excellent customer service, with a strong focus on excellent phone communication
- Take and process customer order requests accurately and efficiently
- Assist with payroll processing
- Maintain and help manage DOT qualification files and support driver compliance requirements
Qualifications:
- Strong customer service skills, especially over the phone
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
- Ability to multitask and prioritize in a fast-paced environment
- Comfortable working in a construction-based industry
- Experience with bookkeeping or accounting tasks preferred
- Familiarity with DOT compliance is a plus (or willingness to learn)
- Experience with Microsoft Office
- Experience with Intuit Quickbooks
- Have a comprehensive knowledge of the company's fleet including the technical specifications, capabilities and limitations of the equipment and trucks
