Position Overview
Shoreline Pharmacy and Jays Pharmacy are seeking a customer-focused, knowledgeable, and reliable Pharmacist to join our independent retail pharmacy team. In this role, you will oversee daily retail operations, perform low-risk non-sterile compounding, and provide exceptional clinical care to our community. Key Responsibilities
- Patient Care & Customer Service: Provide a kind, respectful, and welcoming experience for all patients and customers; build trust within the local community.
- Clinical Consultation & Safety: Counsel patients on proper medication usage; actively evaluate and manage drug-drug, drug-disease, and drug-food interactions.
- Dispensing & Verification: Accurately evaluate, prepare, and dispense prescription medications; verify correct quantities, dosages, and labeling.
- Non-Sterile Compounding: Prepare non-risky, non-sterile compounded medications according to established quality and safety standards.
- Billing & Claims Management: Navigate pharmacy billing procedures, resolve third-party insurance rejections, and oversee copay/adjudication processes.
- Regulatory Compliance: Maintain compliance with state board regulations, federal drug monitoring standards, and pharmacy operational policies.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Education & Licensure: Doctor of Pharmacy (Pharm.D.) or Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy (B.S. Pharm.) from an accredited institution with an active, unrestricted State Pharmacist License.
- Clinical Knowledge: Strong background in pharmacology, therapeutics, disease state management, and interaction screening.
- Communication Skills: Exceptional interpersonal skills with a patient-first attitude and polite demeanor.
- Operational Knowledge: Proficiency in pharmacy software systems, prescription volume handling, billing concepts, and accurate inventory counts.
Preferred Experience
- Prior experience in an independent retail pharmacy setting is preferred (not required).
- Note: Comprehensive training on our internal workflows, billing processes, and systems will be provided.

Pay: $100,000.00 - $130,000.00 per year
