We are looking for someone who is passionate about patient care, eyewear styling, and delivering exceptional service. This full‑time role is ideal for someone who enjoys helping customers find vision solutions and stylish eyewear while contributing to a growing, service‑focused practice.
Key Responsibilities:
- Dispensing & Styling: Guide patients through a select inventory of independent and artisanal frame lines, tailoring recommendations to their unique prescription requirements and lifestlye needs.
- Technical Accuracy: Neutralize and verify existing prescriptions with precision, and take exact digital and manual measurements for complex lends designs, including high-end progressives.
- Delivery Flawless Quality: Take pride in verifying accuracy, benchmarking quality control, and customizing the final fit for every patient.
- Patient Education: Proactively educate patients on proper eyewear use and care as well as advanced lens technologies and treatment benefits, driven by a passion to deliver the absolute best visual solution for their lifestyle.
- Practice Workflow: Schedule patient appointments, manage the daily workflow, and utilize EMR/EPM systems efficiently for accurate patient records, orders, and scheduling.
- Team Collaboration: Partner closely with the optometrists and team members to ensure a seamless, fluid transition and an exceptional overall patient experience
Candidate Qualifications:
- Proven experience as an optician
- Strong knowledge of optometry principles, premium lens technology and products
- Ability to neutralize prescriptions accurately
- Skilled in frame styling, fitting, and adjustments
- Familiarity with luxury eyewear brands is a plus
- Comfortable using EMR/EPM systems
- Professional and friendly, approachable demeanor with strong interpersonal skills
- Strong organizational skills and ability to manage scheduling
- Ability to actively listen and understand patient needs
- Excellent attention to detail and ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
- American Board of Opticianry (ABO) certified is a plus, but not required
