Overview
We are seeking a passionate and skilled Pastry Baker to join our dynamic culinary team. In this role, you will be responsible for creating a variety of high-quality baked goods and pastries that delight our customers. Your expertise in pastry preparation, cake decorating, and food production will help elevate our offerings and ensure an exceptional dining experience.
Responsibilities
- Prepare a wide range of baked goods, including pastries, cakes, and other desserts, following established recipes and standards
- Decorate cakes and pastries with precision, creativity, and attention to detail to meet presentation standards
- Operate kitchen equipment safely and efficiently, including mixers, ovens, and pastry tools
- Maintain a clean and organized workspace in compliance with food safety regulations and hygiene standards
- Package baked goods securely for storage or customer purchase while ensuring product quality
- Assist in food handling, food preparation, and food safety management throughout the production process
- Support high-volume production needs by adhering to recipe specifications and maintaining consistent quality
Qualifications
- Proven pastry experience with a strong portfolio of baked goods and desserts
- Skilled in cake decorating, pastry preparation, and food presentation techniques
- Experience operating kitchen equipment safely and efficiently in a busy environment
- Knowledge of food safety standards, proper food handling practices, and hygiene protocols
- Ability to follow recipes accurately while maintaining consistency in product quality
- Strong knife skills and proficiency in basic math for measurements and portioning
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to work collaboratively within a team
- Previous experience in food production or the food industry is highly preferred
- Catering experience or high-volume production background is a plus
