The Port Washington Children’s Center (PWCC) is looking for a caring, energetic, and dependable Teacher’s Assistant to join our Early Childhood Program!
As a Teacher’s Assistant, you’ll work alongside our experienced teaching staff to create a warm, safe, and engaging environment where young children can learn, grow, and thrive. Assist the lead teacher with daily classroom activities and routines

Help create fun, engaging, and age-appropriate learning experiences

Support children’s social, emotional, and developmental growth

Build positive and nurturing relationships with children

Assist with meals, rest time, transitions, and other classroom routines
-
Help maintain a clean, safe, and organized classroom
-
Prepare classroom materials and assist with activities
-
Work collaboratively with teachers and other staff members
-
Communicate professionally and positively with families and coworkers
-
Follow all health, safety, and OCFS regulations and requirements

Previous experience working with young children preferred

Experience in an early childhood or preschool setting is a plus

Familiarity with OCFS regulations

A positive, patient, and nurturing attitude

Dependable and responsible

Strong communication and teamwork skills

Ability to work in a fast-paced, active classroom environment
