We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented 12V Marine Technician to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining 12-volt electrical systems on a variety of marine vessels. Responsibilities
- Diagnose electrical issues in 12-volt systems using schematics, multimeters, ohmmeters, and other precision measuring instruments.
- Repair and replace electrical components including wiring, switches, batteries, and control panels.
- Perform mechanical tasks such as rigging, assembly, fabrication, welding, and sheet metal work to support electrical installations.
- Utilize hand tools, power tools, soldering equipment, and heavy lifting techniques to complete maintenance and repair tasks efficiently.
- Interpret technical schematics and wiring diagrams to ensure accurate troubleshooting and repairs.
- Conduct regular maintenance on marine electrical systems to prevent future failures and ensure optimal performance.
- Collaborate with team members to complete projects on time while maintaining high safety standards.
Skills
- Proven service technician experience with electrical systems, preferably in marine or vehicle maintenance environments.
- Strong understanding of schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical manuals.
- Experience with military-grade electrical systems is a plus.
- Mechanical knowledge related to rigging, fabrication, sheet metal work, welding, and assembly processes.
- Skilled in the use of hand tools, power tools, calipers, soldering irons, welding equipment, and precision measuring instruments.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely while maintaining attention to detail during maintenance tasks.
- Customer service skills to effectively communicate with clients about repairs and system functionality.
- Familiarity with vehicle maintenance procedures and troubleshooting techniques.
- Knowledge of soldering techniques for electrical connections and system upgrades.
