Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Assistant Manager to join our team. As an Assistant Manager, you will play a key role in supporting the overall operations and success of our business. You will assist the Manager in overseeing daily activities, managing staff, and ensuring exceptional customer service.
Responsibilities:
- Assist the Manager in day-to-day operations, including opening and closing procedures
- Interview, hire, train, and develop a team of crew members
- Provide excellent customer service and resolve any customer concerns or issues
- Drive sales by promoting products and services to meet or exceed sales targets
- Handle cash transactions and maintain accurate cash handling procedures
- Manage inventory control to ensure adequate stock levels and minimize shrinkage
- Implement effective time management strategies to optimize productivity
- Communicate with team members to ensure consistent messaging and alignment with company goals
- Assist in budgeting and financial planning to achieve profitability targets
- Support training and development initiatives for staff members
Experience:
- Previous experience in a kitchen or food service environment
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and inspire a team
- Proficient in cash handling procedures and basic math skills
- Excellent time management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively
- Experience with inventory control and merchandising techniques
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
- Familiarity with budgeting processes and financial analysis
- Proven track record of achieving sales targets
