The Controls Engineer IV designs, modification, evaluation, and execution of complex controls test engineering activities. This role works closely with engineering teams to define, document, analyze, perform, and interpret tests for products, systems, components, and modifications. The position identifies functional issues, recommends solutions, and supports the development and maintenance of internal quality and reliability standards.
Key Responsibilities

Lead the design, modification, and evaluation of complex controls / test engineering activities.

Collaborate with engineering teams to define, document, analyze, perform, and interpret tests for products, systems, components, and modifications.

Develop and execute test plans to evaluate controls functionality, performance, and reliability.

Identify functional problems and recommend effective resolutions.

Analyze test cases and results to support engineering decisions and product improvements.

Support the development and maintenance of internal quality control standards and reliability programs.

Monitor testing progress and provide regular status and progress reports.

Apply engineering knowledge and sound judgment to plan and accomplish project and testing objectives.

Provide technical guidance and may lead or direct the work of others as needed.

Apply creativity and technical expertise to resolve complex controls and testing challenges.

Bachelor's degree in Engineering or an Engineering Technology/Technical discipline.

Minimum of 8 years of related engineering experience.

Expert knowledge of controls engineering concepts, practices, and procedures.

Extensive experience applying engineering judgment to plan and accomplish technical goals.

Experience with PLCs, HMIs, and industrial robots is preferred.

Experience with executing backup plans and obsolescence analysis is preferred

Ability to analyze complex technical issues, evaluate test results, and develop effective solutions.

Ability to work effectively with cross-functional engineering teams.

Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.

Ability to work in a manufacturing environment, including standing and walking for extended periods
