Canterbury Golf Club, one of the most historic and respected private clubs in the region, is seeking a Summer Golf Shop Intern / Sales Associate to join our team for the upcoming season. With a longstanding tradition rooted in championship golf, elevated hospitality, and exceptional member experiences, Canterbury offers a unique opportunity to work within an environment where luxury retail, sports, and service all intersect.
This position is ideal for individuals interested in retail merchandising, fashion, hospitality, marketing, sports management, or the evolving golf industry. Over the course of the summer, associates will gain hands-on exposure to the day-to-day operations of a high-performing golf shop while learning directly from experienced professionals in both retail and club operations.
As golf continues to grow across younger generations and lifestyle markets, the business side of the industry will be expanding significantly — creating exciting opportunities within merchandising, brand partnerships, e-commerce, buying, event execution, customer experience, and retail strategy. This role offers meaningful experience that can translate across both the golf and retail industries alike.

Core Responsibilities:
- Deliver exceptional customer service to members and guests
- Assist with daily golf shop operations and sales
- Support merchandising, product displays, and inventory organization
- Process transactions through the POS system
- Assist with receiving, restocking, and maintaining merchandise presentation
- Support tournaments, member events, and brand trunk shows
- Help execute seasonal product launches and promotions
- Maintain cleanliness, organization, and overall presentation standards throughout the shop
Position Details:
- 30–40 hours per week
- Weekend and holiday availability required
- Seasonal/Summer position
- Pay: $15/hour
