EDU-AIDs is looking for certified high school special education teacher in Arizona for one of our partner schools.
Position Details:
- Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) tailored to the unique needs of each student.
- Provide instruction in a variety of subjects using Montessori methods and other educational strategies.
- Communicate effectively with students, parents, and colleagues to ensure a collaborative approach to education.
- Monitor student progress and adjust teaching methods as necessary to promote academic success.
- Engage in mentoring relationships with students to support their social and emotional development.
- Conduct regular assessments to evaluate student performance and adapt lesson plans accordingly.
- Maintain accurate records of student progress and behavior management strategies implemented in the classroom.
- Collaborate with other educators and specialists to create an inclusive learning environment for all students.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Special Education or related field; Master’s degree preferred.
- Certification in Special Education is required for Arizona
- Experience working with students with autism and other disabilities is highly desirable.
- Strong proofreading skills for preparing educational materials and documentation.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, for effective interaction with students, parents, and staff.
- Proven ability in behavior management techniques that foster a positive classroom environment.
- A passion for mentoring students and helping them reach their full potential.
