About the Position
An established New England operations and logistics company is seeking dependable, hardworking individuals to join its field operations team.
This is a hands-on position—not a desk job. Field Operations Associates work primarily at customer locations throughout New England, with additional work performed at the company’s MetroWest warehouse.
You will work alongside experienced Operations Supervisors and Managers to prepare, transport, install, maintain and remove equipment used for time-sensitive customer projects.
This position is designed for someone who wants to learn the business from the ground up. Successful Field Operations Associates may advance into Operations Supervisor, Operations Manager and other leadership positions.
Previous industry experience and computer skills are not required. We will train the right person who consistently arrives on time, works safely, maintains a positive attitude and takes care of customers and coworkers.
Compensation
The starting rate is $23–$30 per hour, based on experience, qualifications and applicable skills.
The upper portion of the range is generally reserved for candidates possessing a valid CDL Class A license, commercial-driving experience or other advanced and relevant operational skills.
This is an hourly, nonexempt position. Overtime compensation is provided in accordance with applicable law.
What You Will Do
- Assist with loading and unloading trucks and trailers.
- Prepare, stage, install and remove equipment at customer locations.
- Move, organize and account for materials at the warehouse and in the field.
- Work under the direction of Operations Supervisors and Managers.
- Maintain clean, safe and organized warehouse and job-site work areas.
- Inspect, count, prepare and return equipment before and after assignments.
- Assist customers and other on-site personnel professionally when asked.
- Help address on-site problems calmly and constructively.
- Protect company, customer and facility property.
- Follow company safety procedures and location-specific requirements.
- Travel to assignments throughout New England.
- Perform other warehouse, transportation and field-operations duties as assigned.

Schedule and Availability
Field operations do not follow a traditional Monday-through-Friday schedule. Candidates must be available for early mornings, evenings, weekends, holidays and overtime when assignments require it.
Our busiest periods are generally:
- March through June
- September through Thanksgiving
Work is more intermittent during July and August and from December through February. Hours may vary from week to week based on customer activity. The position is intended to be ongoing, but candidates should understand the seasonal fluctuations of the business.
Requirements
- Reliable and punctual attendance.
- Reliable transportation to the warehouse and assigned work locations.
- Ability to travel throughout Massachusetts and the surrounding New England states.
- Ability to work early mornings, nights, weekends, holidays and overtime.
- Ability to remain on your feet and perform physical work for extended periods.
- Ability to regularly lift and carry 50 pounds and, individually or with team assistance when appropriate, handle materials weighing up to 75 pounds, with or without reasonable accommodation.
- Ability to push, pull, bend, reach, climb and work safely in active warehouses, loading areas and customer locations.
- Ability to communicate respectfully with supervisors, coworkers and customers.
- Valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record preferred.
Qualifications That May Support a Higher Starting Rate
- Valid CDL Class A license.
- Current DOT medical card.
- Commercial-driving or trailer-towing experience.
- Forklift or electric pallet-jack experience.
- Advanced installation, construction, fabrication or equipment-handling skills.
- Demonstrated leadership or field-supervision experience.
- Previous warehouse, moving, hospitality, logistics or related field experience.
These qualifications are beneficial but are not required for the base Field Operations Associate position.
