Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Patient Services Representative part-time to join our team in a dynamic healthcare environment from Monday to Friday 8am to 1pm everyday. The ideal candidate will serve as the first point of contact for patients at our Avenue X office location, ensuring a welcoming and efficient experience. This role is essential in managing patient interactions, scheduling appointments, and maintaining accurate records within our surgical office setting.
Responsibilities
- Greet patients warmly and assist them with the check-in process.
- Schedule and confirm patient appointments, ensuring optimal use of the clinic's resources.
- Manage patient records and maintain confidentiality while adhering to HIPAA regulations.
- Assist with insurance verification and billing inquiries, including Medicare processes.
- Utilize medical office management software such as DrChrono for patient data entry and management.
- Handle incoming calls, emails, and messages promptly and professionally.
- Maintain a clean and organized front office environment.
Experience
- Previous experience in a medical office setting is preferred.
- Familiarity with medical office management practices is highly desirable.
- Experience with electronic health record systems such as Epic or DrChrono
- Bilingual candidates are encouraged to apply to enhance communication with diverse patient populations.
- Knowledge of medical coding principles will be beneficial for this role.
