Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented CMM Programmer to join our manufacturing team. In this role, you will be responsible for developing, programming, and operating Coordinate Measuring Machines (CMM) to ensure precise dimensional inspection of complex parts and assemblies. Your expertise will support our commitment to quality assurance and compliance with industry standards such as AS9100, ISO 9001, and ASME codes. Duties
- Develop and write CMM programs using Zeiss / Calypso or similar software to accurately measure parts based on technical drawings and schematics.
- Operate Coordinate Measuring Machines (CMM) to perform dimensional inspections on machined components, ensuring adherence to blueprint specifications and GD&T standards.
- Interpret engineering drawings, schematics, and CAD models created in SolidWorks or other CAD software to determine measurement points and inspection criteria.
- Perform routine calibration and maintenance of CMM equipment and precision measuring instruments such as bore gauges, micrometers, calipers, and dial indicators.
- Analyze measurement data, generate inspection reports, and communicate findings clearly to the manufacturing team for quality control purposes.
- Collaborate with machining and manufacturing teams to troubleshoot dimensional issues, improve inspection processes, and ensure compliance with ISO 13485 for medical device manufacturing or other relevant standards.
- Maintain detailed records of inspections, calibration logs, and quality assurance documentation in accordance with ISO 9001 and AS9100 standards.
Requirements
- Proven experience programming CMMs using PC-DMIS or Calypso software in a manufacturing environment.
- Strong understanding of blueprint reading, GD&T principles, and ASME codes & standards.
- Knowledge of quality control processes including dimensional inspection, quality assurance protocols, and quality inspection techniques.
- Mechanical knowledge related to tooling setup, machining processes, and schematics interpretation.
- Familiarity with ISO 9001, AS9100 standards for aerospace manufacturing, and related regulatory requirements.
- Ability to interpret math concepts essential for precise measurements and analysis.
