Job Overview
We are seeking a hardworking, detail-oriented Log Home Restoration Specialist to join our team. This position is responsible for restoring and preserving log homes through surface preparation, media blasting, repairs, staining, sealing, and project leadership. The ideal candidate takes pride in craftsmanship, works safely and efficiently, and can maintain excellent communication with customers and management.
Duties
- Operate media blasting equipment to remove old finishes and damaged wood, exposing sound timber for restoration.
- Ensure complete and consistent stain removal to prepare surfaces for finishing.
- Inspect logs and wood surfaces to verify they are properly prepared for restoration.
- Perform minor log repairs and replace severely deteriorated log sections as needed.
- Apply stain using proper techniques.
- Install backer rod, chinking, and caulking to seal log joints.
- Coordinate caulking between stain coats to ensure proper color matching and long-lasting protection.
- Follow manufacturer specifications and company quality standards for all restoration products and applications.
- Inspect, clean, and maintain tools and equipment daily to ensure safe and efficient operation.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and professional jobsite throughout each project.
- Work safely, efficiently, and with attention to detail to deliver high-quality log home restoration results.
Requirements
- Experience in log home restoration, construction, carpentry, painting, staining, or related trades preferred.
- Ability to operate power tools and restoration equipment safely.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
- Ability to lift heavy materials and work outdoors in varying weather conditions.
- Strong leadership, organization, and communication skills.
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation required.

Pay: $18.00 - $23.00 per hour
