We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Math Teacher to join the team at Florence School District Three. The ideal candidate will inspire students to develop a strong foundation in mathematical concepts and problem-solving skills. Responsibilities
- Develop and implement lesson plans that align with state standards and curriculum goals.
- Teach a variety of mathematical concepts, including but not limited to algebra, geometry, calculus, and statistics.
- Utilize a range of instructional strategies and technology to enhance student learning.
- Assess and evaluate student progress through formal and informal assessments, providing constructive feedback to support improvement.
- Create a positive classroom environment that encourages student participation and collaboration.
- Communicate effectively with students, parents, and colleagues regarding student performance and classroom activities.
- Participate in professional development opportunities to stay current with educational best practices and advancements in mathematics education.
- Collaborate with other teachers and staff to develop interdisciplinary projects and initiatives.
- Uphold school policies and procedures, fostering a safe and respectful learning environment for all students.
- Engage in community outreach and support school events to promote the importance of mathematics education.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics, Education, or a related field.
- Valid teaching certification in Mathematics for the applicable grade levels.
- Strong understanding of mathematical concepts and effective teaching methodologies.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to differentiate instruction to meet the diverse needs of students.
