Epic Pharma is a generic pharmaceutical company located in Laurelton, NY. We are dedicated to developing and manufacturing generic prescription drugs in a variety of therapeutic categories in tablet, capsule and powder forms, with a focus on hard to manufacture orally administered drugs in immediate release, sustained release and delayed release forms. We are conveniently located in Laurelton, New York, within easy commute of the greater New York metro area and close to the Long Island Railroad and NYC bus service.
We are currently seeking several Machine Operators in the Compression (Tableting) Department and Pharmacy Dept. Prior experience a plus but not necessarily required.
Temporary Assignment leading to Regular/Union!
Essential Job functions include (but are not limited to):
* Responsible for ensuring processing area and equipment is properly set up and ready
for operation.
* Properly complete/perform document verification as required.
* Monitor production process & make necessary adjustments to equipment
as required to insure accuracy & quality of work performed.
* Cleaning of Machines
* Perform weighing & reconciling of ingredients & finished product as required.
* Keep Supervisors informed of production & equipment status throughout
performance of daily duties.
* Know and follow all SOP’s relating to assigned tasks.
* Capable of troubleshooting or assisting in resolving problems with equipment
& processes.
* Other tasks as assigned by Lead Operator, Supervisor, Manager or Director.
Qualifications:
* Applicants must be able to stand, bend, and move around for the entire shift.
* Applicants must be able to lift and carry up to 50 lbs when required.
* Applicants must be able to use all equipment required.
* Applicants must be able to wear all Protective Equipment including DUST MASK.
* Applicants must be able to work overtime when required.
* MUST HAVE good reading, writing and communication skills in English, and good math skills.
* High School Diploma or Equivalent
