JOB SUMMARY
The Laminating & Vinyl Cutting Technician is responsible for operating laminators, vinyl cutters, and related finishing equipment to produce high-quality graphics for signs, displays, and large-format print projects. This role ensures printed materials are protected, accurately cut, and prepared for installation or shipment. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, mechanically inclined, and able to work efficiently in a fast-paced production environment.

- Operate cold and heat-assist large format laminator equipment to apply protective films to printed graphics.
- Inspect and ensure quality is up to standard throughout the production process.
- Trim laminated graphics to finished sizes with precision.
- Maintain laminators.
Mounting
- Use equipment to apply large graphics and films to a variety of substrates.
- Handle and apply vinyl graphics by hand.
Vinyl Cutting
- Operate Kiss-cut plotters to cut adhesive vinyl graphics.
- Weed vinyl efficiently and accurately.
- Ensure all cut files match production specs and customer requirements.
General Finishing
- Use cutting tables, straight edges, knives, trimmers, various cleaners and adhesives safely and accurately.
- Maintain a safe, clean and organized work area.
- Follow job tickets, production schedules, and quality control standards.
- Monitor inventory of various supplies and materials.
- Work in a team environment and assist other employees as needed.
Material Knowledge
- Gain knowledge of all the various films and substrates used
- Learn the differences between the various materials to know when and how to use them.
- Use materials efficiently for best yield and speed of production.
Skills & Qualifications
- Experience in large-format printing or sign production is preferred, but not required.
- Familiarity with laminators, vinyl cutters, and digital finishing tools.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
- Ability to read and follow job tickets, measurements, and production specs.
- Ability to stand, bend, lift and carry 50+ lbs.
- Basic computer skills to operate email, google calendar and our job management software; experience with RIPs or cut software (Caldera, Illustrator, Graphtec Studio) a plus.
- Strong work ethic and ability to multitask to meet tight deadlines in a fast-paced work environment.
COMMON WORKING CONDITIONS
Work is performed in our production facility with work in a manufacturing environment and exposure to noise levels up to 110 decibels. Requires the ability to stand for long periods of time. The employee will occasionally lift and move large graphics. An ability to lift and hold objects that may weigh 50+ pounds for short periods.

- There will be prayer before meals and/or some meetings.
- There is a Chaplain who is available to help team members in need. This Chaplain makes regular weekly visits to the office to “check in” with employees.
