Job Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and highly skilled Commercial Construction Superintendent to lead and oversee commercial construction projects across multiple locations in the United States. Duties
- Lead and manage multiple commercial construction projects across various sites, ensuring adherence to project plans, schedules, and budgets.
- Coordinate construction schedules using ProCore or similar project management software to optimize workflow and resource allocation.
- Supervise on-site teams, including subcontractors and crew members, fostering a collaborative environment focused on safety, quality, scheduling, and efficiency.
- Review construction drawings, schematics, blueprints, and technical documents to ensure accurate interpretation and implementation of design intent.
- Conduct regular site inspections to monitor progress, enforce OSHA standards, federal construction safety regulations, and company safety policies.
- Manage project documentation using construction management software such as ProCore or Bluebeam for tracking progress, RFIs (Request for Information), change orders, and daily reports.
- Oversee quality control processes by inspecting work for compliance with plans and specifications; address issues promptly to prevent delays.
- Interpret technical drawings and schematics accurately; utilize tools like ohmmeters for electrical testing when necessary.
- Collaborate with project managers on budgeting, procurement, and contract management to ensure project profitability.
- Lead safety meetings, enforce safety protocols including OSHA standards, and maintain a safe work environment for all personnel on-site.
Skills
- Proven experience managing large commercial construction projects with a focus on supervision and team management.
- Strong knowledge of construction management software including , ProCore, Bluebeam, and other relevant tools.
- Extensive understanding of construction regulations such as OSHA standards and federal safety requirements.
- Skilled in reading and interpreting blueprints, schematics, technical drawings, and construction schematics.
- Excellent project scheduling skills with the ability to coordinate multiple activities simultaneously.
- Effective communication skills for managing crews, subcontractors, clients, and stakeholders at all levels.
- Ability to supervise construction site activities while maintaining high safety standards and quality control measures.
- Experience in managing budgets, estimating costs, reviewing contracts, and controlling project expenses.
- Strong leadership qualities with the ability to motivate teams in diverse environments across different locations.
