CRAMER JUNIOR HIGH: 7th Grade Science Teacher
POSITION START DATE: August 20, 2026
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Must possess a valid Michigan Teaching Certificate with a Science endorsement (DI, DQ, DX).
- Demonstrated knowledge of middle school instructional practices and curriculum.
- Experience working within or understanding the Multi-Tiered System of Supports (MTSS) framework.
- Knowledge of Positive Behavioral Interventions and Supports (PBIS).
- Ability to effectively work with students from diverse cultural, economic, and ability backgrounds.
- Strong communication, collaboration, and organizational skills.
- Ability to establish positive relationships with students, families, and colleagues.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging lesson plans and instructional materials that facilitate active learning and student engagement.
- Implement district curriculum and instructional best practices aligned with state standards.
- Create a classroom environment that fosters respect, responsibility, and academic excellence.
- Encourage and monitor the progress of individual students and use assessment data to adjust instructional strategies and interventions.
- Differentiate instruction to meet the needs of diverse learners.
- Participate in and support MTSS processes to address student academic and behavioral needs.
- Implement PBIS practices and contribute to a positive school culture.
- Maintain accurate student records, grades, and attendance in accordance with district requirements.
- Communicate regularly with students, parents, and guardians regarding student progress and classroom expectations.
- Participate in department, school, district, and parent meetings.
- Collaborate with colleagues, support staff, and administration to improve student outcomes.
- Demonstrate preparation and skill in working with students from diverse cultural, economic, and ability backgrounds.
- Follow and implement all Board of Education policies, administrative guidelines, and building regulations.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the building principal or designee.
REPORTS TO: Building Principal
SALARY: $43,501-$70,516 per EHEA Contract
