Facility & Maintenance Technician

We are seeking a Facility & Maintenance Technician to join our team. This position is a hands-on technician who supports the upkeep, cleanliness, safety, and day to day operation of our Fulton facilities. This role is primarily focused on building and facility maintenance, janitorial responsibilities, grounds upkeep, and facility improvement projects, with some support of manufacturing equipment maintenance as needed.

Responsibilities
Building, Facility & Janitorial Maintenance
- Perform janitorial duties for both facilities, including cleaning offices, restrooms, common areas, breakrooms, shop areas, and other shared spaces.
- Maintain overall cleanliness and appearance of both company facilities.
- Perform routine building maintenance and repairs involving lighting, plumbing, HVAC, electrical, doors, fixtures, walls, flooring, and other facility systems.
- Maintain snow removal, lawn mowing, landscaping, and seasonal maintenance schedules as needed.
- Monitor facility conditions and address issues that could affect safety, cleanliness, or operations.
- Maintain and organize janitorial, maintenance, and facility supplies.
- Coordinate with outside contractors for services such as HVAC, roofing, plumbing, electrical work, pest control, and other specialized trades.
- Assist with painting, flooring, office improvements, minor construction, and general building repairs.
- Support upkeep of both the River Glen and Foster Street facilities.
Facility Projects & Improvements
- Lead or assist with facility improvement projects, including layout changes, storage improvements, workstation modifications, lighting upgrades, painting, and infrastructure improvements.
- Assist with moving, installing, or reorganizing furniture, shelving, workstations, and facility equipment.
- Identify opportunities to improve facility organization, cleanliness, safety, energy efficiency, and overall appearance.
- Work with leadership to prioritize and complete building improvement projects.
Equipment Maintenance Support
- Perform basic preventative maintenance and minor repairs on shop equipment and supporting systems when needed.
- Assist with maintenance of compressed air, coolant, hydraulic, and other facility support systems.
- Help coordinate outside machine service providers for repairs requiring specialized expertise.
- Maintain basic maintenance and service records.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in facility maintenance, building maintenance, janitorial services, construction, industrial maintenance, or a related hands on role preferred.
- General mechanical aptitude and the ability to troubleshoot common building and maintenance issues.
- Working knowledge of basic plumbing, electrical, carpentry, painting, and general repair work.
- Manufacturing or industrial facility experience is preferred but not required.
- Experience with machine tools or manufacturing equipment is helpful but not required.
- Familiarity with OSHA requirements and general workplace safety practices.
- Ability to lift up to 30 pounds and safely perform physical work throughout the day.
- Comfortable working both indoors and outdoors in varying conditions.
- Self motivated, dependable, organized, and able to manage priorities across two facilities.
Schedule & Compensation
Full time, onsite day shift position.
Competitive hourly wage based on experience, $25.00 to $35.00 per hour.
