BioPhase Solutions specializes in recruiting top talented professionals for the San Diego County Scientific community. We are currently looking for a HYBRID 3-6mo contract Staff Accountant to work for a leading San Diego biotech company.
Hourly Range: $40.00-60.00/hr
Responsibilities
- Process payroll using Paylocity or similar systems (ADP, etc.) and review for accuracy
- Support general ledger activities, including journal entries and account reconciliations
- Assist with payroll and benefits-related accounting (401k, HSA, etc.)
- Generate reports and support month-end and quarter-end close
- Maintain and track compliance tasks within internal systems (e.g., AuditBoard or similar)
- Assist with light international accounting activities (banking, wire transfers, basic financial review)
Requirements
- 3+ years of accounting experience (Staff Accountant level or similar)
- Experience with payroll processing (Paylocity, ADP, or similar) preferred
- Strong understanding of general ledger and reconciliations
- Highly organized with strong attention to detail
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced, hands-on environment
