Supplemental Health Care is partnering with a school district in Leonardtown, MD who are seeking a dedicated Speech-Language Pathologists (SLP) to provide early intervention and school-based speech therapy services for children from birth through age five. This contract position will support students at multiple locations within the northern region of the county, with therapists typically assigned to one school per day.
This is an excellent opportunity for a compassionate clinician who is passionate about helping young children develop critical communication skills in educational settings.
Responsibilities
- Conduct speech-language evaluations and assessments
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans
- Provide direct speech and language therapy services
- Collaborate with teachers, families, administrators, and multidisciplinary teams
- Participate in eligibility meetings and other required educational meetings
- Maintain timely and accurate documentation
- Monitor student progress and adjust treatment plans as needed
- Ensure compliance with all state and district regulations
Qualifications
- Master's Degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program
- Current Maryland Speech-Language Pathologist License
- Successful completion of a Clinical Fellowship (CF) or eligibility to practice under appropriate licensure requirements
- Passing score on the Praxis Examination in Speech-Language Pathology
- Ability to meet all school district onboarding requirements
- ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) Preferred
- Previous school-based or early intervention experience Preferred
- Experience working with children from birth through age five Preferred
Contract Details
- Monday to Friday schedule
- Flexible daily hours: 8:00 AM to 3:30 PM, or 8:30 AM to 4:00 PM
- Primarily serving early intervention students (Birth–5)
- Multiple school locations within the assigned area
- Competitive pay: $51 to $55 per hour
