Duration: 6+ Months with possible extension or conversion to direct hire
Pay: $25.96/hr - Shift: 5am - 2:30pm OR $27.26/hr - Shift: 3pm - 12:30am
(Hours over 40 will be paid at Time and a Half.)
Role Summary
Under general supervision, this position performs repetitive electronic and mechanical assemblies, following specific sequences for wiring, soldering, and cable harnessing. You will be responsible for following standard methods to install components and ensure units meet quality control procedures.
Key Responsibilities
- Assembly Operations: Build subassemblies, cables, harnesses, and printed circuit boards using wiring and hand soldering.
- Precision Adjustments: Make setups and adjustments to ensure all components hold tolerances to strict specifications.
- Rework & Quality: Disassemble, modify, and reassemble units as needed while monitoring quality standards.
- Safety & Compliance: Maintain a safe workspace and adhere to all laws, regulations, and housekeeping duties.
Qualifications
- Experience: High school diploma (or equivalent) and 3+ years of relevant assembly experience.
- Technical Skills: Ability to read engineering drawings and wire lists while using soldering and compression tools.
- Visual Ability: Good visual perception with the specific ability to distinguish between colors.
- Clearance: Must have the ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Security Clearance.
- Flexibility: Capable of working independently or in a team, including extended hours when required
