Self-Direction DSP - North Syracuse Area (Job #ES-BP)
Indera (formerly ARISE/EFR) is seeking an experienced Direct Support Professional in the Village of North Syracuse. He is a 47-year-old that values his independence and his relationships. He enjoys being outside, working in his garden, going for walks, being a caregiver to his live-in partner and likes to cook.
He is looking for a knowledgeable and experienced staff that has worked in areas of TBI and Mental Health. Staff that are reliable, compassionate, energetic and can be a good role model. Some responsibilities include... assisting him with Independent Living Skills like housekeeping, meal preparation, shopping, taking him to medical appointments and other activities in the community. Work on Healthy and Effective Communication Skills and to improve his time management.
Staff must be comfortable around a dog and someone that smokes.
The current pay rate is $26.00, plus reimbursement for mileage and staff activity fees
Hours and Times: Looking for 2 staff to complete all hours.
Monday 8 to 4pm
Tuesday 8 to 4pm
Wednesday 8 to 4pm
Thursday 12-5pm
Friday 8 to 4pm
Saturday 10 to 5pm

Must have a valid drivers license
- Effective communication and organizational skills required.

Flexibility with assignments and schedule required.

Reliable transportation to arrive to job site at scheduled time.

Experience working with people with Developmental Disabilities preferred.

Must have technology available to download multiple apps for use in the community and abide by ARISE/EFR'S technology policy.
