Role Summary
We are seeking an experienced Project Manager / Reconstruction Project Manager to manage restoration projects from mitigation through rebuild. This person will handle inspections, estimates, insurance communication, paperwork, customer communication, repair sales, and project coordination. The ideal candidate understands restoration, mitigation, insurance claims, program work, and reconstruction well enough to step in without needing to be taught the basics.
Compensation
Compensation is in the $80,000–$100,000 base salary range with bonus and/or commission opportunities tied to revenue, larger jobs, profit sharing, and margin protection. The role includes paid PTO, a company truck, training through Paul Davis, program training, and health care support with 50% of the employee-only premium covered.
Responsibilities:
- Manage restoration and reconstruction projects from start to finish.
- Handle the claim once it comes in.
- Perform inspections and assess project needs.
- Write estimates using Xactimate and related estimating tools.
- Submit estimates and communicate with insurance carriers.
- Organize mitigation crews and repair crews.
- Correspond with insurance adjusters throughout the job.
- Keep customers, adjusters, and internal team members updated.
- Sell the repair / rebuild work and help prevent customers from cashing out.
- Manage project paperwork and documentation.
- Oversee mitigation techs, repair crews, and the overall project team.
- Serve as the main point of contact between the customer, insurance adjuster, and internal team.
- Problem-solve quickly and stay two steps ahead of project issues.
- Ensure the project runs smoothly from mitigation through rebuild.
Requirements:
- 5+ years of relevant restoration, mitigation, or reconstruction experience preferred.
- Experience in the reconstruction / mitigation world required.
- Xactimate experience required.
- Symbility and Docusketch experience preferred.
- Experience working with insurance carriers and adjusters.
- Ability to write estimates and manage claim-related documentation.
- Understanding of mitigation, rebuild, and program work.
- Strong communication and customer service skills.
- Strong problem-solving ability.
- Able to manage multiple moving pieces without needing constant answers from ownership.
- Comfortable working with customers during stressful property damage situations.
- Must understand how restoration teams, mitigation crews, repair crews, and insurance adjusters work together.
- Must be comfortable with on-call rotation and restoration-related urgency.
Pay: $80,000.00 - $100,000.00 per year
