Requirements of Field Service Electrician:
- Master or Journeyman Electrician License or County certificate of competency preferred; OR 5 years of experience in the electrical/electronic construction and repair or utilities OR a Combination of education and experience required
- valid Florida driver license and acquire a valid Florida Class "B" Commercial Driver License (CDL) within the first year of hire required
- High School Diploma or Equivalent required
- Understand principles of chemistry, geology, physics, and related sciences preferred
- Considerable knowledge of District, Local, State and Federal rules and regulations relating to the water and wastewater utility industry preferred

Responsibilities of Field Service Electrician:
- Responsible for electrical equipment operation and maintenance of the wastewater treatment plant and field support systems assigned to it.
- Work is performed under the general supervision of the Wastewater Treatment Plant Maintenance Foreman
- Work encompasses technical, supervisory, and hands-on work to install, maintain, repair, calibrate electrical equipment, electronic instrumentation, and assist in the operation of the treatment facility and maintenance of treatment plant and associated field mechanical equipment
- Recommends for selection, installs, calibrates, and monitors sensing, telemeters, recording, and other instrumentation and circuitry components
- Sketches and builds or modifies jigs, fixtures, instruments, and related apparatus
- Performs preventative and corrective maintenance and repair of field support systems electric components and controls
