We are seeking a Mechanical Engineer who will design, implement, and manufacture next-generation radar systems. You will work alongside multidisciplinary teams of radar, electrical and system engineers to develop components and products from concept through deployment.
This is an opportunity to solve challenging technical problems while helping build technologies that protect military personnel and critical infrastructure.
Responsibilities
· Build and evaluate prototypes in rapid environment.
· Design enclosures, pedestals, mounts and support frames for manufacturing.
· Develop mechanical assemblies that meet size, weight and performance requirements.
· Design cooling solutions for high-power radar electronics.
· Perform thermal and structural stress analysis of operating products.
· Design equipment to meet client environmental standards.
· Prepare engineering drawings, reports and test documentation
· Provide manufacturing support, quality control and efficiencies.
· Manage project timeline for delivery, capability and cost.
Required Qualifications
· Bachelor's or master’s degree in mechanical engineering.
· Experience designing electromechanical systems, precision mechanical assemblies, or ruggedized equipment.
· Experience with rapid prototyping and iterative product development.
· Proficiency with 3D CAD software such as SolidWorks, Creo, or CATIA.
· Experience performing thermal and structural analysis (FEA preferred).
· Understanding of manufacturing processes, including machining, sheet metal, and welding
· Ability to prepare engineering drawings using GD&T.
· Strong project management and organizational skills.
· Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
· U.S. citizenship and the ability to obtain a U.S. Secret security clearance.
