About Queen Anne Jewish Preschool
Queen Anne Jewish Preschool is a boutique preschool located in the heart of Queen Anne. Our warm, home-like environment allows children to feel safe, connected, and excited to learn each day.
Our program is inspired by the Reggio Emilia philosophy and emphasizes hands-on exploration, creativity, meaningful relationships, and learning through play. We maintain low student-to-teacher ratios so our educators can provide individualized attention and create strong connections with each child.
We are looking for a joyful, energetic, creative, and empathetic preschool teacher to join our warm and dedicated team.
Position Overview
The ideal candidate enjoys working with young children and understands the importance of creating a nurturing, engaging, and developmentally appropriate classroom environment.
Our teachers work collaboratively to support each child’s social-emotional, cognitive, physical, and language development. Candidates should be dependable, patient, enthusiastic, and able to communicate warmly and professionally with children, families, and fellow staff members.
Responsibilities
- Create a warm, safe, and welcoming classroom environment.
- Plan and facilitate engaging, age-appropriate learning experiences.
- Encourage children to explore, create, ask questions, and develop independence.
- Support children’s social-emotional development and help them navigate classroom routines and peer interactions.
- Observe children’s development and communicate meaningful updates with families.
- Maintain an organized, clean, and inviting classroom.
- Work collaboratively with fellow teachers and school leadership.
- Participate in staff meetings, professional development, and school events.
- Follow all licensing, health, safety, and supervision requirements.
Qualifications
- Experience working with young children in a preschool, childcare, camp, or similar setting.
- A warm, patient, and nurturing approach.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
- Reliability, professionalism, and a positive attitude.
- Ability to actively engage with children throughout the school day.
- Willingness to complete all required Washington State childcare trainings and background-check requirements.
Experience with Reggio Emilia-inspired, play-based, or child-led learning is helpful but not required. Experience in Jewish education is a plus, but not a requirement.
