Duties
-Design and implement developmentally appropriate lesson plans that incorporate curriculum development principles and align with early childhood education standards.
-Manage classroom behavior through positive behavior management strategies, fostering an environment of respect and cooperation.
-Communicate regularly with parents and guardians to share progress updates, discuss concerns, and build strong partnerships supporting each child's growth.
-Ensure compliance with mandated reporting laws by accurately documenting any incidents or concerns related to child welfare or safety.
-Supervise and mentor assistant teachers or aides, providing guidance on classroom management and instructional techniques.
Skills
-Extensive experience working with children across various age groups within early childhood education settings.
-Strong knowledge of curriculum development, lesson planning, and child development instruction techniques.
-Familiarity with special education needs, early intervention strategies, and inclusive teaching practices.
-Proven classroom management skills coupled with effective behavior management techniques.
-Excellent communication skills for engaging with children, parents, colleagues, and community partners.
-Certifications in first aid and CPR are required.
