Oakwood Care & Rehab is looking for a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant to join our therapy team in Lakewood, CO. As a COTA, you’ll work under the supervision of a licensed Occupational Therapist to help residents improve their ability to perform everyday activities and maintain as much independence as possible. This position is a great fit for someone who enjoys working with older adults and making a meaningful difference in their daily lives.
What You’ll Do
- Treat residents according to care plans developed by the Occupational Therapist
- Help residents work on daily living skills such as dressing, bathing, grooming, and toileting
- Provide therapeutic activities to improve strength, coordination, balance, and cognitive skills
- Observe resident progress and communicate updates or concerns to the OT
- Teach residents how to safely use adaptive equipment and compensatory strategies
- Assist with positioning, splinting, and seating as directed
- Complete documentation accurately and on time
- Follow safety, infection control, and privacy guidelines
- Work closely with nursing staff and other therapy team members
What We’re Looking For
- Graduate of an accredited Occupational Therapy Assistant program
- Current COTA certification and state licensure in good standing (or eligible)
- BLS & CPI certification or willingness to obtain (Classes offered)
- Experience in a nursing home or skilled nursing facility is preferred, but not required

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $28.00 - $44.00 per hour
