Under the guidance of the Site Director, the Youth Specialist is responsible for the direct supervision of a Before school class within an elementary school campus. Classes will range from TK , Kindergarten, 1st grade students up through 6th graders. Youth Specialists will lead and supervise engaging indoor activities and outdoor physical activities, assist with supervision of Breakfast, and assist daily with yard supervision of Morning recess. Youth Specialist is expected to follow the program plan as designed around the school’s culture and academic philosophy.
Expectations include but are not limited to:
Activity Planning and Implementation.
Active supervision of students at all times
Following and enforcing program expectations and routines
Maintaining a safe and well organized space
Assist with attendance, daily program operations, and communication with site leadership.
Help create an inclusive environment where every student feels respected, valued, and supported.
Being punctual, professional, and flexible
Availability between the hours of 7:30 am - 9:15 am
Communicating with parents and teachers as needed
