Job Summary
We’re looking for a motivated Sales Associate to be the face of our GNC store. You’ll engage with customers, use your knowledge of wellness products to make personalized recommendations, and drive sales. You’ll also support operational tasks like inventory, merchandising, and cash handling.
What You’ll Do (Key Responsibilities)
- Greet every customer with a friendly, welcoming attitude.
- Ask questions to understand customers’ health and fitness goals and guide them to the right products.
- Clearly explain product benefits, dosing, and usage, especially for supplements.
- Process sales, returns, and exchanges accurately using the POS system.
- Cross sell and upsell: suggest complementary vitamins, wellness programs, or loyalty initiatives.
- Stay up to date on new products, promotions, and supplement trends.
- Maintain store presentation: stock shelves, organize displays, and ensure the sales floor is visually engaging.
- Participate in opening / closing procedures, including cash reconciliations and daily reports.
- Assist with inventory counts, receiving shipments, and loss-prevention efforts.
What We’re Looking For (Qualifications)
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous retail or customer service experience preferred but not mandatory.
- Excellent communication and active listening skills.
- Genuine interest in health, nutrition, or wellness.
- Self starter with a goal driven mindset.
- Flexibility to work rotating shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
- Ability to stand for long periods, bend, reach, and lift (up to 40 lbs.)
- Basic computer skills (POS, inventory systems)
Compensation & Benefits
- Pay: $10 – $11.50 / hour, depending on experience
