Quality Supervisor Qualifications or Skills:
- A minimum of 2-5 years’ experience in Quality Control in a manufacturing environment
- Knowledge of Inspection and Quality Control methods, techniques, and equipment
- Knowledge of 8D, FMEA, IATF 16949, ISO 9001, Process Writing, Gauges, Calibration
- Computer skills: Microsoft Works, Excel, Google Drive, PowerPoint, Drop task
- Must be able to work under pressure, communicate properly, receive direction and follow-through, and meet deadlines, while maintaining a positive attitude
Job Duties:
Key Responsibilities
- Paint & Pre-Treatment Operations: Oversee pre-treatment areas, PM execution, tank cleaning schedules, sludge tote area management, and quality cage operations.
- Titration & Quality Testing: Conduct daily chemical titrations, accuracy adjustments, paint solids testing, adhesion testing, and mil thickness measurements. Manage chemical inventory for lab testing.
- Quality Control & Containment: Direct online inspection sequencing, lead Safe Launch protocols, and execute Layered Process Audits (LPAs).
- Data Management & Systems: Maintain the Quality Database and Google Drive files, manage RMA requests, operate tilt tables, and publish comprehensive end-of-shift quality reports.
- EHS & Continuous Improvement: Lead Continuous Improvement (C.I.) projects and enforce workplace safety protocols, including Confined Space procedures, Spill Response, and Lockout/Tagout (LOTO).
- Responsible for directing and supervising a group of employees involved in inspection and quality control procedures with regard to purchased material, in-process material and finished products to assure that quality control standards are achieved for customer requirements.
- Maintain discipline, morale and harmonious relations among subordinates in a fast-past environment.
- Maintain and ensure professional and effective communication with all on-site customers with regards to all quality issues are being met.
- Required participation in daily/weekly team updates
- Employee must adhere to all ISO/IATF procedures and work instructions
- Maintain compliance with all company policies and procedures
- Comply with OSHA requirements
Recommendations
- Experience: 2+ years in a Quality Supervisor or Quality Specialist role within an industrial coating, liquid paint, or e-coat manufacturing environment.
- Technical Testing: Demonstrated proficiency in chemical titration, mil thickness gauging, adhesion testing, and solid content analysis.
- Audit & Inspection Skills: Hands-on experience with Layered Process Audits (LPAs), inspection sequencing, and Safe Launch containment programs.
- Safety & Compliance: Familiarity with OSHA/EHS standards, specifically Confined Space entry, Spill Management, and Lockout/Tagout (LOTO).
- Systems & Tools: Proficient with Google Workspace, quality database tools, and formal RMA processing routines.
2nd shift schedule: 2:00pm-11:00pm Monday-Friday, occasionally weekends
Quality Supervisor Physical Requirements:
● Ability to safely and successfully perform the essential job functions
● Ability to maintain regular, punctual attendance
● Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 lbs
● Ability to stand, kneel, and lift throughout the shift
