Responsibilities
- Develop and implement educational activities that promote childhood development, including preschool, toddler care, and infant care programs
- Create a safe, welcoming classroom environment that encourages exploration and learning
- Manage daily routines such as meal times, nap schedules, diaper changes, and transitions between activities
- Monitor children’s behavior using positive behavior management techniques to foster social skills and cooperation
- Collaborate with parents and guardians to communicate progress, address concerns, and share developmental milestones
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations by maintaining cleanliness and administering first aid when necessary
- Support children with special needs or disabilities by adapting activities and providing inclusive care
Experience
- Prior classroom experience in daycare, preschool, or early childhood education settings is highly preferred
- Experience working with children of various ages, including infants, toddlers, and preschoolers
- Knowledge of childhood development principles and age-specific caregiving practices
- Familiarity with classroom management techniques and behavior management strategies
- Certification in first aid and CPR is advantageous; ongoing training in special education or working with people with disabilities is a plus
- Previous nannying or babysitting experience demonstrating responsibility in caring for children of different needs
