Position Overview
We're looking for an organized, motivated Project Manager to take ownership of commercial and residential solar construction projects from kickoff through final commissioning.
You'll coordinate schedules, budgets, material procurement, subcontractors, permitting, inspections, and client communication — keeping projects on time, on budget, and up to PPM's quality standards. This is a hands-on leadership role for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment, takes accountability seriously, and genuinely cares about the customer experience. As we continue to grow, this person will help drive that growth — building strong client relationships, keeping teams aligned, and reinforcing our commitment to craftsmanship, integrity, and safety.
What You'll Do
- Lead commercial solar projects from pre-construction through commissioning
- Manage schedules, budgets, procurement, permitting, inspections, and project closeout
- Source and oversee subcontractors, vendors, and project partners
- Act as the main point of contact for clients throughout the project lifecycle
- Track progress, costs, and change orders
- Uphold OSHA compliance and company safety standards
- Run regular project meetings and keep documentation accurate and current
- Monitor subcontractor performance and enforce quality control
- Work closely with engineering, operations, and field teams to keep projects moving
What You Bring
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent hands-on experience in construction management
- A strong safety and quality mindset (OSHA 30 preferred, safety management experience a plus)
- 5+ years of experience in Solar PV
- Working knowledge of electrical and structural construction plans
- Solid planning, organizational, and prioritization skills
- Comfort with scheduling software, CRM tools, and PM platforms
- Honesty, reliability, and self-awareness
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to pass a pre-employment drug and background screening
- At least 4 years of project management experience in construction
- Proven ability to manage multiple projects at once
- Familiarity with commercial construction practices, contracts, and permitting
- Strong leadership and problem-solving instincts
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and project management software
