About Us
We're a health-conscious family committed to a nutritious, balanced way of eating. Our diet is gluten-free and close to paleo, and we're looking for a skilled chef to take the lead on weekly meal planning and preparation two days a week.
The Role
You'll cook in our home on Mondays and Wednesdays, preparing meals for our family of five that carry us through the week — kid-friendly breakfasts, protein-packed salads for lunch, and family dinners. The ideal candidate combines professional culinary experience with a strong grounding in gluten-free and paleo-style cooking — someone who makes health-focused food that's also genuinely delicious.
Responsibilities
- Plan weekly menus that follow our gluten-free, paleo-leaning guidelines
- Prep healthy, kid-friendly breakfast options such as egg bites and gluten-free muffins
- Prepare protein-forward salads for lunches and complete dinner meals for the family
- Shop for and source high-quality, fresh ingredients, prioritizing organic and local produce
- Adapt recipes to accommodate dietary restrictions, allergies, and preferences
- Label prepared meals with clear storage and reheating instructions
- Keep the kitchen clean, organized, and well stocked
Qualifications
- Proven experience as a private/personal chef or in a comparable culinary role, ideally with gluten-free or paleo cooking experience
- Strong working knowledge of nutrition and specialized diets
- Ability to build varied, flavorful menus within specific dietary parameters, including gluten-free baking
- Excellent organizational, time-management, and communication skills
- Food safety certification (e.g., ServSafe) preferred
- References required
Pay: $30.00 - $40.00 per hour
