We are looking for an experienced medical assistant who are motivated to learn, grow, and
Basic medical assistant duties include checking in patients, assisting doctors with in-office procedures , blood draws and injections, phone triage, sterilization of instruments, and related duties. Must be punctual, respectful, have a friendly demeanor and be a team player.
Medical Assistant primary duties will include but are not limited to:
- Preparing and maintaining exam rooms in a clean and orderly manner
- Assisting the physician with a wide range of tasks that are related to patient care
- Contacting pharmacies with new medication and/or order changes as directed
- Requesting referrals
- Knowledge of CLIA and OSHA guidelines
Medical Front Office primary duties include but are not limited to:
- Greeting patients in a friendly, professional manner
- Answering, screening, and directing phone calls to appropriate parties without error
- Scheduling appointments and surgeries
- Reviewing patient registration forms for accuracy and completeness
- Verifying insurances and requesting co-payments
Job Requirements:
- Minimum of one year of experience as a medical assistant preferably in a Primary Care setting
- Electronic Medical Records proficiency – Knowledge of Cerner a plus
- The ability to communicate clearly to patients and fellow staff members both verbally and in writing
- Bilingual in Spanish a plus
Educational Requirement: High School Diploma or GED
Medical Assistant Certificate or Graduation Diploma
A Valid CPR card
