TLC has a Janitor / Porter opportunity for a candidate in our New Orleans location. This person must be a self-starter who is able to complete assigned tasks with minimal oversight.
Job Duties
- Cleans production facility, office, public access areas, and other as directed. This includes but is not limited to mopping, vacuuming, and trash removal.
- Assists with the start-up and shutdown of the daily laundry operations.
- Monitors and reports on the inventory of cleaning supplies.
- Responsible for trash and debris pickup in the dumpster area.
- Helps maintenance staff and other staff members as needed.
- Painting, sheetrock, and carpentry skill is a plus.

Physical Demands

- Walking throughout the facility and its grounds with great frequency.
- Ability to climb ladders and gangways safely and without limitations.
- Dexterity in eye/hand coordination, feet (foot pedals), manual (picking, pinching, holding, grasping), and wrist motion (repetitive flexion/rotation).
- Working conditions may include small spaces, dust, lint, odors, hot/cold temperatures, inside/outside noise, vibration, standing on wet or uneven surfaces.
- Lift and move up to 75 pounds.
- Must be able to stand/walk for up to 7-hours in an 8-hour shift.
