Responsibilities
- Assist with food preparation, including chopping, assembling ingredients, and maintaining prep stations to ensure smooth kitchen operations
- Maintain cleanliness by regularly cleaning work areas, utensils, equipment, and ensuring proper food handling practices are followed
- Support bussing duties by clearing tables promptly and efficiently to keep the dining area tidy and inviting
- Handle manual lifting of supplies, ingredients, and equipment following safe lifting practices to prevent injury
- Serve food and beverages accurately using POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS, ensuring correct orders are delivered to guests
- Provide excellent in-person customer service by greeting guests warmly, answering questions about menu items, and supporting guest needs with professionalism
- Assist with food running duties by delivering prepared dishes from the kitchen to tables swiftly while maintaining quality standards
Qualifications
- Previous experience in food service or restaurant environments is preferred but not required; enthusiasm and willingness to learn are essential
- Knowledge of food safety protocols and proper food handling techniques is highly desirable
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently during busy service periods
- Strong communication skills to effectively coordinate with team members and interact positively with guests
- Familiarity with POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS is a plus but not mandatory; training will be provided
- Experience in kitchen tasks like food preparation, cleaning, bussing, or serving will be advantageous
- A proactive attitude with excellent teamwork skills and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced hospitality setting
