Job Summary
The Assistant Territory Manager plays a vital role in supporting medcom's operations and sales throughout the Four Corners territory. You will be responsible for delivering, setting up, and instructing patients on durable medical equipment (DME), tracking inventory, completing patient paperwork and answering patient questions. The assistant territory manager will also maintain relationships with facilities and doctor’s offices- Traveling between Durango, Pagosa Springs, Cortez, and Farmington on a regular basis. The use of your personal vehicle will be required. (We do provide mileage reimbursement)

Key Responsibilities:
- Support the Territory Manager in ensuring all patients and facility needs are met.
- Coordinate with PSRs and territory coordinators to complete patient setups, pickups, swaps, and proper documentation.
- Deliver and set up durable medical equipment (DME) in hospitals, clinics, skilled nursing facilities, and patient homes.
- Act as a primary point of contact for patients and accounts in the absence of the Territory Manager.
- Troubleshoot equipment issues in-person and over the phone.
- Conduct and assist with in-service trainings at facilities.
- Manage inventory levels at storage locations; lead and submit regular inventory counts.
- Help monitor deficiencies and obtain missing documentation for billing.
- Identify potential sales leads and support account development.
- Provide support with facility contracts, training, and compliance efforts.
- Report internal issues or concerns to the Territory Manager.
Requirements
- Excellent organizational skills with strong attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and phone presence.
- Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and multitask in a dynamic environment.
- Comfort with Microsoft Office and basic tech troubleshooting.
- Valid driver’s license and excellent driving record.
- No criminal history.
- Willingness to work flexible hours, including some evenings and weekends.
- Entrepreneurial drive and a willingness to take initiative
- Ability to lift 50+ lbs regularly.
- Reliable personal vehicle required; mileage reimbursement provided.
- COVID-19 vaccination required per healthcare facility guidelines.
Preferred:
- Experience in medical device sales, medical marketing, or healthcare services.
- Familiarity with DME, particularly continuous passive motion (CPM), cold therapy, and other post op equipment.
- Existing orthopedic or clinic contacts.
- Bachelor's degree.
- 4+ years of relevant sales or customer service experience.
