The Support Partner is responsible to provide direct services to the individuals including: assisting in maintaining a clean, safe living environment, meal preparation, and supervising, teaching, and assisting the individuals in every aspect of their lives, with the goal of promoting more independence and a relaxed environment.
Minimum 18 years of age, High school diploma/GED preferred. Must pass a Background Check. Valid driver’s license, has a vehicle, and maintains a car insurance policy in their own name, good driving record that allows applicant to safely transport individuals served. Prior education and/or experience in residential services for persons with intellectual disabilities preferred.

They must possess all of the following: a sincere desire to provide direct services to persons with intellectual /physical disabilities; ability to make sound judgments when given guidance and priorities; ability to exchange support, constructive criticism, and ideas with other staff members; physical ability to lift/transfer persons served. Must be able to fully communicate (in English) reading, writing and understanding or verbal directions, in order to pass the training program set forth by Partners In Opportunities. They must fill out the Job Questionnaire. The questionnaire contains conditions of employment and availability answers.
May be full or part- time; hours vary based on the needs of the individuals served. The specific number and times of scheduled hours are set upon hiring. The Support Partner may request a change in hours. SA/QM may approve and/or mandate a change in hours based on program and individuals served needs. All persons in this position should be prepared to work weekends and holidays. Persons in this position should also be prepared to substitute for extra hours when necessary to ensure provision of services to individuals served
