Job Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented Versatile Compounding Pharmacy Technician to support all areas of our independent compounding pharmacy. In this role, you will be responsible for preparing customized compounded medications, data entry, prescription processing, shipping, customer service, answering phones and register duties
Responsibilities
- Assist in non sterile preparations under pharmacist supervision.
- Accurately enter and process prescription orders and recipes into pharmacy software systems.
- Verify prescription information for completeness and resolve basic data issues.
- Prepare, label and package compounded and non compounded medications for dispensing.
- Manage shipping tasks, including, packaging, labeling and tracking orders.
- Provide professional and courteous customer service in person and over the phone.
- Answer incoming calls and route inquiries appropriately.
- Operate the cash register and process customer transactions accurately.
- Maintain clean, organized and compliant work areas.
- Support inventory management, including stocking, rotating, restocking supplies.
- Follow policies, procedures and regulatory requirements.
- Collaborate with pharmacists and team members to ensure efficient work flow and patient care.
Requirements
- Florida registered Pharmacy Technician.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Reliable, punctual and dependable.
- Prior experience as a pharmacy technician with a focus on compounding medications.
- Knowledge of pharmaceutical calculations, drug regulation, medical terminology, and pharmacological medical terminology.
- Experience with pharmacy software systems, PK and Pioneer, for data entry and prescription management.
- Excellent customer service skills with a focus on patient care and maintaining confidentiality in compliance with state and federal healthcare laws.
- Ability to work efficientlyand multi task in a fast-paced setting while maintaining attention to detail and accuracy in all tasks.
- Able to follow instructions, procedures and be a team player.
