Lead Mortgage Growth & Strategy at Day Air Credit Union
Day Air Credit Union is seeking an experienced and strategic lending leader to join our team as Director of Mortgage Lending. This role is responsible for overseeing all aspects of our mortgage lending program, including origination, underwriting, servicing, compliance, secondary market activities, and team leadership.
The ideal candidate is a collaborative leader with strong operational expertise, a passion for member service, and a proven ability to grow mortgage production while maintaining safe and sound lending practices.
What You’ll Do
- Lead the daily operations of the mortgage lending department
- Drive mortgage growth through business development and referral partnerships
- Oversee origination, underwriting, closing, servicing, and secondary market functions
- Ensure compliance with mortgage lending regulations and investor guidelines
- Manage vendor, CUSO, and investor relationships
- Support and develop department staff through coaching and training
- Collaborate with retail, marketing, and business development teams to create a seamless member experience
Qualifications
- High School Diploma/GED required; Bachelor’s Degree preferred
- 5+ years of mortgage lending experience including origination, underwriting, or servicing
- 3+ years of management or leadership experience
- NMLS Registration required
- Strong knowledge of mortgage regulations, secondary market operations, and lending compliance
- Excellent communication, leadership, and organizational skills

Pay: $90,000.00 - $130,000.00 per year
