Technical Product Specialist | DeFelsko Corporation
DeFelsko Corporation, a leading U.S. manufacturer of hand-held inspection instruments, is seeking a Product Specialist to provide technical expertise and sales support to customers and dealers. This role combines technical problem-solving, customer interaction, and product knowledge to develop solutions for complex measurement and application challenges.
Key Responsibilities
- Analyze customer applications and technical requirements to determine appropriate measurement methods and product solutions.
- Troubleshoot complex technical issues and independently evaluate solutions, limitations, and alternatives.
- Provide technical support and product recommendations to customers and dealers by phone, email, and in person.
- Support sales opportunities through technical consultations, product demonstrations, follow-up, and dealer support.
- Represent DeFelsko at trade shows and other professional events.
- Stay current on DeFelsko products, measurement technologies, industry trends, and competitive products.
- Identify recurring technical issues and opportunities for product, documentation, or training improvements.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree and 2+ years of experience in engineering, manufacturing, instrumentation, technical sales, product support, or a related field preferred. Equivalent combination of education and relevant experience may be considered.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to communicate technical information clearly, professionally, and effectively with customers and dealers.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to independently evaluate technical information and develop practical solutions.
- Customer-focused, organized, and able to manage multiple priorities.
- Experience with product demonstrations, technical training, or dealer/customer support is a plus.
