Duties
- Prepare and assemble menu items efficiently while maintaining high standards of food quality and presentation.
- Operate point-of-sale (POS) systems such as Aloha POS and Micros POS to process orders accurately and quickly.
- Handle cash transactions with precision, including cash handling and cashiering responsibilities.
- Provide friendly customer service by taking orders, answering questions, and ensuring guests feel welcomed.
- Upsell menu items to enhance guest experience and increase sales opportunities.
- Maintain cleanliness by bussing tables, sanitizing workstations, and adhering to food safety standards.
- Assist in food handling tasks such as stocking supplies, preparing ingredients, and managing food storage.
- Support kitchen operations by assisting with food preparation and ensuring timely delivery of orders.
- Follow sanitation protocols to ensure a safe dining environment for guests and staff.
- Manage time effectively during busy periods to ensure quick service without compromising quality.
- Support retail or grocery store functions when needed, including basic math for inventory checks or sales transactions.
- Collaborate with team members to create a positive work environment focused on guest satisfaction.
Skills
- Proven experience in food preparation or food service roles within quick service or fast-food restaurants.
- Familiarity with POS systems such as Aloha POS and Micros POS for efficient transaction processing.
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to engage positively with diverse guests.
- Ability to handle cash accurately and perform basic math calculations for transactions and inventory management.
- Knowledge of food safety standards, sanitation procedures, and proper food handling techniques.
- Experience in cashiering, upselling, and sales techniques to maximize revenue opportunities.
- Excellent time management skills to prioritize tasks during high-volume periods.
- Kitchen experience or culinary background preferred but not required; enthusiasm for learning is valued!
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
