Job Summary
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Drywall Hanger and Finisher to join our dynamic construction team. In this role, you will be responsible for installing, finishing, and repairing drywall surfaces across various commercial and residential projects. Your expertise will help create smooth, durable walls and ceilings that meet high-quality standards. Responsibilities
- Measure, cut, hang, and secure drywall panels on walls and ceilings according to project specifications and blueprints
- Finish drywall joints with taping, mudding, sanding, and texturing to achieve a seamless surface
- Install additional components such as corner beads, trims, moldings, and fixtures to enhance the aesthetic appeal of interiors
- Repair damaged drywall surfaces or prepare areas for painting or further finishing work
- Collaborate with carpenters, painters, and other trades to ensure smooth workflow and project completion
- Read schematics, blueprints, and technical drawings to accurately execute installation tasks
- Maintain a clean work environment by organizing tools and debris removal throughout the project
Requirements
- Proven experience in drywall installation and finishing on construction sites or remodeling projects
- Knowledge of construction estimating processes related to drywall work is a plus
- Strong understanding of blueprint reading, schematics, and technical instructions
- Skilled in plastering, caulking, trim carpentry, metal stud framing, door hanging, and tile laying is desirable
- Familiarity with related trades such as plumbing (including construction plumbing), masonry, flooring installation, and painting enhances versatility
- Ability to interpret construction plans accurately and follow safety protocols diligently
- Prior experience in restoration industry projects or water damage remediation is advantageous
- Handyman experience or background in remodeling can be beneficial for diverse job site needs
